Concrete Staining/SealingAcid staining is accomplished by applying a chemically reactive solution to concrete. The solution reacts to lime components in the top layer of the cement; newer concrete and concrete in better condition yields the best results. Chemstains are aesthetically pleasing and have less to do with the function and endurance of the concrete. Once stained, a variety of clear finishes can be applied, from satin to high gloss.This flooring finish is best applied in new construction, prior to occupancy. The finished look is always unique and is directly related to the quality of the original concrete work. Concrete stains are available in a wide range of colors.
